Associate Genie Backup Manager With the One Touch Feature of the Maxtor One Touch

SYMPTOMS

Is there any way to associate GBM with the one touch feature of the Maxtor One Touch external drive so the program or script will automatically execute?

 

WORKAROUND

  1. Open your Genie Backup Manager (GBM).
  2. Create a backup job and save it.
  3. From the Tools menu, select Jobs Manager.
  4. Select the backup job and click the Create Shortcut button there in order to create a shortcut to that job.
  5. Look in the Properties of the created shortcut and copy the path to the Maxtor One Touch button.
