Genie Backup Manager is Showing WAB and Outlook Express when Running on Vista

SYMPTOMS

When installing Genie Backup Manager (GBM) on Windows Vista machine, GBM shows WAB and Outlook Explorer instead of Windows Contacts and Windows Mail.

 

CAUSES

GBM is installed in compatibility mode.

 

RESOLUTION

  1. Uninstall GBM.
  2. Right-click the installation file of GBM → Properties → Refer to the Compatibility tab → Disable the Run this program in compatibility mode for option → OK.
  3. Run the installation file of GBM and proceed with installing it.
