SYMPTOMS

The test mail works, but when actual backup is made, you are not getting an E-mail notification.

 

CAUSE

Sending the email notification for this specific backup job is not enabled.

 

RESOLUTION

  1. Open your Genie Backup Manager.
  2. Click on Edit Previous Jobs → Select the backup job which you are having the issue with.
  3. Refer to step 4. Settings → Click More Settings…Notification…
  4. From the Notification Settings window, enable the Send Notification via e-mail option → Select when to send the notification → OK.
  5. Save your backup job.
