CAUSE

When backing up from a network location with read permissions, Genie Backup Manager (GBM) will not be able to reset archive bit of the files and therefore, will always report that the estimated backup size when confirming data selections as the whole backup size, even if it will only backup new and modified data. This could lead to report “Not enough space to perform backup” if the destination of the backup does not have enough space to perform another full backup.

RESOLUTION

Go to your network location and change the share permissions to Full control to enable GBM to reset archive bit and get the exact estimate backup size in the data confirmation. As the confirming data calculations relies on the archive bits that are checked.
