Error Message: “Failed to copy DR Files. Please make sure there is enough space on the destination and it is not write protected”

SYMPTOMS

When trying to create a GDR boot disk to CD\DVD.

RESOLUTION

  1. From your Control Panel → Programs and Features → Uninstall all 2005, 2008, and 2010 Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages.
  2. Download and install the following Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages one by one:
  3. If the problem persists, download the following ISO file from here and use any third-party burning software to burn it to CD\DVD. This way, you can skip the step of creating a GDR boot disk in GBM software itself and continue to create GDR backup job.
