My device(s) is/are not recognized

  • SYMPTOMS
    This occurs when you have a RAID as your local hard drive, you are unable view it from the browse for folder, you get unable to connect to webserver when opening the web browser, or view network status does not display your Ethernet card.
  • CAUSE
    The drivers are non-native to Windows and the Disaster Recovery environment.
  • RESOLUTION
    Use Install driver, located in the left-hand pane of the Disaster Recovery wizard to install your driver of the unrecognized device, by loading the driver, and browse for its .inf file.

 

Unable to connect to the Internet

  • SYMPTOMS
    You get “Unable to connect to webserver” when opening the web browser.
  • CAUSE
    The Ethernet or modem drivers installed on your computer are non-native to Windows and the Disaster Recovery environment.
  • RESOLUTION
    Use Install driver, located in the left-hand pane of the Disaster Recovery wizard to install your driver of the unrecognized device, by loading the driver, and browse for its .inf file.

 

Unable locate the correct media to load, because my backup spanned to multiple drives/locations

  • SYMPTOMS
    No files are displayed on the media that contains the backup job.
  • CAUSE
    The wrong disk or location is loaded.
  • RESOLUTION
    Browse or load the last backup location as the index that loads your backup .gbp is stored there.

 

Unable locate my backup that is stored on the network

    • SYMPTOMS
      When browsing for the network location from Browse for file button, no network places are located.
    • CAUSE
      Either the Ethernet card device is not recognized or due to the fact that the browser does not display network places.
    • RESOLUTION
      Install your Ethernet card driver, for more information, go to My Device(s) is/are not recognized.
      Map the network drive from Map Network drive in the left hand pane of the wizard.
